Ann KohIn 2002, I left a successful banking career to follow the path of alternative medicine. I enrolled in Chinese Medicine school in San Francisco and embarked on a life-changing journey into a medical tradition that dates back more than 5,000 years. I have not looked back since and today I am pleased to share with you the power of this ancient medicine.

Simple yet profound, Oriental medicine offers an alternative way of viewing health and illness. Symptoms need to be alleviated but just as important is finding and treating the root of an illness so that symptoms don’t return.  We need to address the illness but just as important, we need to address the person who has the illness. This is the heart of holistic medicine.

My approach
I draw from various systems and traditions that I have studied over the years and select and combine these systems where appropriate. Each person is unique and each situation, condition, day and hour calls for a different approach.

My main diagnostic and treatment approaches include Classical Chinese Medicine as taught by Daoist Master, Jeffrey Yuen, Japanese hara diagnosis and acupuncture in the style of Kiiko Matsumoto, and the unique pulse diagnosis system of my mentor in acupuncture, Robert Levine.

I weave into these systems, my experience and knowledge of essence and spirituality from the Diamond Logos Teachings, originated by Faisal Muqaddam, and the spiritual traditions that I have connected with and practiced at different times of my life, Tibetan Buddhism and Christianity.

My approach continually evolves as I deepen in my work with clients, engage in continuing studies of Oriental Medicine and as I do my own inner work of physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

I extend my deepest gratitude to all my amazing teachers who have shared and taught their knowledge generously so that we may benefit and heal.
